A basic screening panel scanning the most common inherited thrombophilia mutations. Ideal for pregnancy planning, family history and initial evaluation.

Extended Thrombophilia Panel

10-14 business days

In addition to the basic panel, it also scans plasminogen activator inhibitor, fibrinogen and platelet glycoprotein mutations. Preferred when a comprehensive evaluation is requested.

Factor V Leiden Prothrombin G20210A MTHFR C677T / A1298C PAI-1 4G/5G Factor XIII V34L Beta Fibrinogen -455 G/A GPIIIa L33P (HPA-1)

Testing Process

Step 1

Blood Sample Collection

2-5 ml of venous blood is drawn into an EDTA tube. No fasting is required; it can be done at any hour.

Step 2

DNA Isolation

Genomic DNA is isolated from leukocytes and passes quality control.

Step 3

PCR & Analysis

Target mutations are analyzed with real-time PCR, RFLP or sequencing methods.

Step 4

Reporting

Results are prepared as a detailed report. Heterozygous/homozygous status and clinical interpretation are included.

Interpreting Results

Your test results are evaluated by our expert geneticists

Normal (Wild-type)

The relevant mutation has not been detected. However, it must be evaluated together with the clinical picture.

Heterozygous Carrier

One copy of the mutant gene is carried. The risk increase is moderate. A management plan can be built with your physician.

Homozygous Mutant

Two copies of the mutant gene are carried. Classified in the high-risk group. Hematology specialist follow-up is recommended.

Genetic Counseling: Your test results are evaluated by the Omega Genetics expert team together with your clinical findings and family history. When considered necessary, genetic counseling is provided. You can contact us for detailed information about your results.
